Now, Wind Turbine Page 3, 2010 to see our new Two Star Missouri Wind General 1400,(2800 watt), turbine installation. 6/5 2010, these Generals have been a failure. They wont spin fast enough to generate at 52 VDC. PV panels on Studio Roof The last component to bring our GREEN POWER GENERATION up to 9+KW! 6/24/09, ordered 16 Sun Tech STP 170 watt solar panels for installation on our studio roof. I built and orientated our studio with Solar South in 1972, when I was 15 years old. Now the dream comes true. Solar Hot Water We installed two 3'X8' collectors with a 100 gallon storage tank and pump control. One collector per house inhabitant and 50 gallon per collector seems to work well but only preheats water for the electric heater in winter. Could use a third collector in the winter and three may be to much in the summer. If you want to support the RE alternatives without investing heavily in equipment, then ask your electricity supplier to sell you Green Energy from wind farms and PV. That will support the entire infrastructure!!
