Tracker 1&2  Control Center  Wind Turbine  Studio Roof  Home   Solar Hot Water

We plan to install 16 PV panels on the Studio roof with a Sunny Island 3000 US 240 V inverter.

4/27/08 I am so impressed with the trackers performance that I am reconsidering putting the studio PV panels on to a Wattsun 225 tracker again. I have 300 feet of #6 Cu wire left over from the turbine installation that will do nicely to connect a third tracker up the hill to catch earlier morning sun and possibly later evening sun. The trackers collect hours more direct sunlight per day compared to roof mounted PV panels.

6/17/08 Seriously considering ordering 12 Evergreen 180 panels for the studio roof next week. This will give our system power to generate full demand on a very cloudy day, soc up the batteries quickly with just some sun, and run the central air most of the time in the summer. They will be temporarily on the studio roof, will build a Wattsun 225 tracker to put them on very soon. The power added by the tracker will comparatively improve the output of the 180 watt panels into 240 watt panels, and if there is a hail storm coming I can tilt the panels vertical to reduce damages. Already have the Sunny Boy 3000 US 240 VAC inverter.
